Sinsal operates as a component-level engineering laboratory in Nairobi’s Westlands area, focused on diagnostics, repair, refurbishment, rework, and failure analysis for high-value electronic systems. Work is scoped around individual components and circuit-level behavior rather than whole-unit replacement, for organizations whose equipment is specialized, expensive to replace, or no longer manufactured.
Sinsal supports medical technology, telecommunications, networking infrastructure, industrial automation, and enterprise and OEM electronics — sectors where equipment is often specialized enough that a straightforward replacement isn’t always practical or available.

A Second Opinion Before a Replacement Decision
Valuable electronic equipment is often replaced before it’s properly diagnosed. Sinsal exists to help organizations make informed decisions about that equipment instead. Through component-level diagnostics, failure analysis, precision rework, and refurbishment, Sinsal helps determine when equipment can be restored, when replacement is genuinely the better option, and how a system’s useful service life can be extended responsibly — reducing unnecessary replacement and the electronic waste that comes with it.

Equipment and fault information are reviewed to confirm the work falls within scope before anything is scheduled.
Diagnostics
Electrical testing isolates the fault to a specific stage or component of the circuit — the step every decision after this depends on.
Root Cause Analysis
The failed component and the mechanism behind the failure are identified, not just the symptom that was reported.
Repair and Restoration
Component-level repair, rework, or refurbishment is carried out based on what the diagnostics and root-cause analysis established.
Validation
The repaired assembly is tested under operating conditions to confirm the original fault is resolved before it's returned.
Not every assembly can or should be repaired. Recommendations at each stage are based on documented technical findings — traceable by work order reference, communicated clearly, and only proceeding to approved repair work once the customer has confirmed the scope.

What This Work Is, and What It Isn’t
Assessment, repair, refurbishment, and rework are engineering services carried out at the component and circuit level, based on the technical findings from diagnostics. They are distinct from formal regulatory certification and from manufacturer-authorized (OEM) servicing.
Sinsal does not represent its work as regulatory approval, aviation approval, medical-device certification, or OEM authorization of any kind. Where a piece of equipment is subject to a certification or compliance requirement, that remains separate from — and the responsibility of — the equipment owner or manufacturer, independent of the engineering assessment Sinsal provides.
Not every fault is repairable. Recommendations are based on technical findings, component availability, safety, expected reliability, and economic viability — never assumed in advance of an assessment.
