Industrial power supplies run under continuous load in environments that are often hotter and dustier than an office or data centre — this is the main reason their failure patterns look different from consumer electronics.

Heat and continuous load
Capacitors and switching components degrade faster under sustained high temperature. A power supply run near its rated capacity for years is simply going to show component wear sooner than one that's lightly loaded.
Environmental contamination
Dust buildup on internal components insulates them from the airflow they were designed around, raising operating temperature further and accelerating the same wear mechanisms.
Electrical transients
Industrial electrical environments carry more voltage noise and switching transients than a typical office supply — over time this stresses input-stage components in ways that eventually show up as an output fault.
How this gets diagnosed
Input and output voltage testing under load, visual inspection for bulging or leaking capacitors, and thermal imaging to spot components running hotter than their neighbors together confirm which mechanism caused a specific failure.
